There are about 300 million indigenous peoples are living on the planet. They are settled in a variety of regions and keep very pristine lifestyles. This makes them vulnerable to modern society. The modern society has no right at all to threaten the livelihood of indigenous peoples. I believe that more should be done to protect the cultures of the world’s indigenous peoples.

Firstly, the value of those cultures are immeasurable. Therefore, the modern society needs to leave those cultures to our future generations. It’s not only to their descendants but also to our’s. Our descendants will appreciate our action today.

Secondly, we face an uncertain future, and the input of some of these indigenous cultures could be vital/pivotal in the years to come. There are signs that our future, the future of the human race could be chaotic in the coming years. For solving those uncertain problems we will need a broad range of cultural background.

Since the world is heading toward a homogenous cultural societies, we should consider the benefit of heterogeneous societies.
