I firmly believe that free trade has beneficial effects on the economic growth, consumer’s consumption and free competition.

First, free trade contributes to boosting economic development. Thanks to free trade, tariffs(taxes/duties) are eliminated or cut down and so business transactions increase quickly, which brings prosperity to society. Additionally, since a lot of developing countries adopted free trade policy, the standard of living in such nations has been improving rapidly over recent decades. Consequently people now become affluent enough to buy quite a lot of luxuries and enjoy quality services such as going to beauty saloons, spas and sports clubs, which in turn further revitalizes these industries, thereby fostering(propelling) the world economy.

Second, I think consumers are able to obtain benefits from free trade. As taxes have been reduced quite a lot or eradicated on many commodities, quality goods and services at reasonable prices from around the world are flowing into local markets, so people can make a comparison and have more options to choose various products they need at a budget price.

Finally, with the spread of free trade all over the world, unfair competition and monopolization are being effectively deterred(inhibited). Free competition is infiltrating (permeating) into world markets and becoming more and more transparent these days.

Although some people argue free trade may have a negative impact on the environment and cultures, based on the above-mentioned reasons, I conclude that the benefits of free trade outweigh the disadvantages.
