　I think human beings will colonize other planets in the future due to the living conditions and disasters on Earth. In this essay I am going to elaborate my view point.

Firstly, with overpopulation, deforestation and global warming becoming more and more serious in most areas throughout the world, a lot of people feel living on earth uncomfortably and unpleasantly. These days quite a few residents(dwellers) in many countries have to live in a cramped apartment without clean air and sufficient water supply. Also, a large number of species cannot find their preferred food and habitats because of deforestation and environmental contamination. Consequently more and more countries are putting a great deal of effort into developing space exploration in order to seek the potential(prospect) to live on other planets. Scientists have proved that there is alien life on other planets.

Secondly, due to increasingly severe environmental pollution on Earth, natural disasters at times wreak havoc on humans. The 2011Fukushima Earthquake was a typical example of a natural catastrophe. The air, water supply and agricultural produce in the region was seriously contaminated by radiation leakage. What is worse is that many inhabitants in the area suffered from radiation sickness and many of them lost their families and properties during the tsunami. The damages inflicted on Fukushima and other neighboring regions are still affecting local people’s daily lives. Hence, I feel Earth is being a more and more dangerous place to live on. People are striving to look for another place in space to lead a happy life.

Although there is a long way towards making it true to live on other planets, based on the above-mentioned reasons, I believe that human beings eventually can colonize other places in the universe, as long as we manage to study and exploit outer space continuously.
