Prescription drugs are controversial nowadays and many people are opposed to the overuse of these prescription drugs. I believe that people today are too reliant on prescription drugs. I’ll tell you why.

Firstly, people take prescribed drugs for their ailments thoughtlessly. If a person get multiple ailments they need to take a lot of prescription drugs which were prescribed by each doctors. Japan has the largest elderly population in the world. The more people get older the more ailment they get, hence more prescription drugs were prescribed.

Secondly, the corrupt relationship between doctors and pharmaceutical companies is facilitating the easy access of prescription drugs, which is making them more accessible to the average man. Doctors prescribe more than necessary prescription drugs for their benefits.

Thirdly, sometimes using these prescription drugs can lead to addiction, and the addicts will start to be more reliant on these drugs and they are likely to ask for more from their doctors.

Healthy body does not require any drugs. We should keep our body healthy as best as we could.
