We have been seeing a lot of conflicts in the Middle East. It seems perpetual and people are likely unable to imagine a peaceful Middle East. I’m afraid peace in the Middle East cannot be achieved.

Firstly, many oil fields in the region arouse human greed and make it especially difficult to achieve conflict free society there. As you know, people have been pursing the money tree from the onset of history. They’ll squash any nuisances for this purpose.

Secondly, the religious differences in the Middle East, make it very difficult to obtain lasting peace in that region. It is a sensitive topic. Therefore I will not go further/deeper.

Thirdly, the United Nations does not work as it should be because the Security Council’s permanent members have their own interests in the Middle East. Therefore they will veto any motions that do not align with their own interests.

It is so sad to see many people have been suffering in the Middle East. People in the world should at least take it as not another person’s affairs but their own problems.
