I believe electronic voting should be promoted for the following reasons.

Firstly, electronic voting can raise the voting rate. Nowadays a lot of people are busy and even on(at) weekends some people have to work, so they are reluctant to go to voting places and line up(queue) to vote. If they can participate in elections through the internet, it will save them time and energy. Hence, electronic voting can encourage more people to take part in elections.

Secondly, electronic voting helps improve the efficiency and accuracy of counting votes. In conventional polling, votes need to be counted by hand, Which takes a lot of time and mistakes sometimes arise. Electronic polling helps improving the efficiency of counting and reducing human errors.

Finally, Electronic voting can be anonymous and so protect people’s privacy. It enables voters to express their opinions more freely and honestly towards the candidate. This is beneficial to developing democracy.
