I agree that food shortages will be eliminated in the future for the following reasons.

Firstly, genetically modified food is being consumed in a lot of countries, which effectively resolves food shortage. Farmers can receive stable harvest with less effort by growing GM crops because they are far more resistant to pests and diseases and can grow with less water and through harsh weather.

Secondly, the amount of food needed to feed the world will decline. Latest statistics show that world population will peak in 20 years and then steadily shrink, which will lead to a food surplus. Developed countries can supply excess food to more needy countries where there is a lack.

For the above-mentioned reasons, I believe that food shortages will be eliminated in the foreseeable future.
