I do not believe that religion should be taught in school. I have a few reasons to support my view point.

Firstly, I feel learning religion should not be mandatory. If it is taught in school, it seems to me every student must study religion at school. Children have the right to decide whether they study religion or not. Studying religion should be optional. Every person has different goals for their life, so in a free society, everyone should be able to choose what they study.

Secondly, Schools should be a place where knowledge is imparted to children rather than have religious doctrines forced upon them. If children have an interest in religion, they can study the subject in their spare time. Schools have a responsibility to teach children basic science and language skills in order to prepare them for the world ahead.

In conclusion, I am opposed to teaching religious studies at school based on the reasons just mentioned.
