I do not believe that the content of ads should be more strictly regulated. I have a few reasons to support my opinion.

Firstly, I feel there is no reason for this. Nowadays people are becoming savvier and well-informed, so they have the ability to distinguish between the authentic and un(in)authentic ads. Most consummers are quite clear about what they want to buy regardless of the description of an advertisement.

Secondly, companies have the right to create their ads freely as long as they do not break the laws. Governments should not more strictly regulate the content of ads because this will adversely affect the profitability of companies. If the regulations are too rigorous, companies will face difficulties (in) promoting their goods and services.

In conclusion, I maintain that the content of advertisements should not be more strictly restricted. Companies need leeway in order to create effective and successful advertisements.
