I feel it is unethical to use genetic manipulation on humans. I have a few reasons to support my opinion.

Firstly, Utilizing genetic manipulation to regenerate new organs remains controversial. Using embryonic stem cells to regenerate organs is the activity of depriving humans of a right to live because ES cells are made by taking an embryo from a body and then allowing it to develop in a laboratory. So I believe that using this kind of genetic manipulation on humans is against bioethics.

Secondly, I heard that people have used genetic manipulation to choose their children’s traits. It doesn’t sound so good to me to positively select genes for beauty and intelligence by using this technology. Although it is a human instinct to want the best children possible, breeding a race of super humans by adopting genetic engineering is unethical.

For the reasons just mentioned, I think that it is unethical to use genetic manipulation on humans.
