We still hear a lot of unbearable human exploitation stories from around the world, like shrimp peeling laborers in Thailand, garment sweatshops in Bangladesh, carpet weavers in South Asian countries. Many people are condemning these behavior. In my opinion, we are not taking enough measures to stop the exploitation of workers in the developing world. I will briefly discuss it.

Firstly, the media should report more news about it. They tend to favor popular news stories. It is true that many people prefer to read easy, pleasant and happy stories, but the media has a responsibility to report the unpleasant news as well.

Secondly, we should boycott products that were produced by exploited people. We need to realize that as long as there are consumers, exploitation will continue. Consumers of such products are partly responsible for this type of exploitation.

Thirdly, developing countries should hold exploiters accountable for their actions and stricter regulations should be implemented. Exploitation is a crime. There are no excuses for this.

It is deplorable that slavery still exists in the 21st century.
